We begin accepting applications for new students on Jan 31st in the same calendar year as the September when your student might begin.
In a very small setting like ours, we must consider additions carefully. These elements are all potential parts of an application process.
2) Most recent report card or parent letter outlining homeschool path
3) Most recent comprehensive progress assessment (standardized or district based)
4) Teacher recommendation OR professional evaluation/assessment
5) Student school visit
The documents listed above, along with our observations from in-person visits, help staff form a detailed impression of who the student is, and how they might fit into the existing class. Please contact us to make arrangements for an alternative application process if your student is in transition from homeschooling. In this situation parents may or may not have a formal report card. Once staff notify you that an application file is complete, the final step is for the student to meet with staff and visit the school while in session, if possible.
